Meet Kelly and Keeley
Welcome to Violets Ventures, a family-owned business dedicated to crafting exquisite handmade aromatherapy candles, wax melts and products. Meet Kelly, the founder, who brings her expertise in aromatherapy to curate intentional blends that support wellbeing. Her daughter, Keeley, adds her creative touch by crafting seasonal scents. KELLY - Founder
My love for aromatherapy began in my late teens. I would spend hours reading books, buying essential oils, and creating blends for family and friends — including my boyfriend at the time, who struggled with anxiety. Even then, I believed deeply in the healing properties of essential oils, both emotionally and physically.
In 2022, I decided to turn my passion into something more and completed a Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy and Massage at Brighton Holistics. Expanding my knowledge and understanding of essential oils was incredibly fulfilling, and not long after qualifying, Violet’s Ventures Aromatherapy & Massage was born.
The name Violet carries huge meaning for me. It was my dear Nana’s name — a strong, determined woman whom I adored and admired. When she passed away at the remarkable age of 94, I received an inheritance that allowed me to invest in myself and pursue a skill I had quietly practised for many years. Naming the business after her felt like the perfect tribute.
I’m a firm believer in self-healing and the importance of taking time for yourself. Life can be hectic, fast-paced and overwhelming, and for many years I juggled long hours, two jobs (including working for my husband’s firm), and being a mum — leaving very little space for my own wellbeing. Over the past three years I’ve immersed myself in learning about self-healing, breathwork and meditation, which has transformed the way I support myself and others.
My passion for aromatherapy naturally merged with a childhood love of candle making, inspiring me to create our own range of aromatherapy candles. Each one is made with clean-burning soya wax and thoughtfully blended essential oils — whether uplifting, calming, relieving anxiety or creating a soothing space.
We also offer seasonal soy candles made with synthetic fragrance oils, lovingly crafted by my daughter Keeley. Having her working alongside me in the business is a true blessing. Together, we create scents for every season — from Gingerbread and Christmas Tree in winter, to Bluebell and Sweet Pea in spring, and Tranquil and Paradise for summer or any time you need an uplifting fragrance.
Violet’s Ventures is more than a business — it’s a family passion, rooted in love, healing, and the belief that everyone deserves a calm and comforting space.
KEELEY - Co-Founder
I’ve always loved making candles, and some of my earliest memories are of our home filled with a warm glow and comforting scents. Sharing my mum’s passion for essential oils, it always felt natural to join her in creating candles and wax melts.
In March 2023, just before my GCSEs, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. It was a very challenging time, and although I completed a year at college and really enjoyed it, my condition made it difficult at times.
Working from our home workshop has been perfect for me. It allows me to be creative, to manage my health, and to be part of something meaningful. For the past year I’ve been making candles and wax melts, and I truly love what I do.
Being part of Violet’s Ventures means being part of a brand that brings comfort, calm and beautiful scents into people’s homes — and I’m proud to help create that.
